2004

The vision of Ethel Silvergold Zale, community leader and Jewish Family Service board member, inspired the first Woman-to-Woman Luncheon. Held at the Pearlman Estate in the spring of 2004, the event featured philanthropist, athlete, fashion designer, and mother Susan Dell.

A sell-out crowd, gathered in the outdoor pavilion for lunch and to hear Ms. Dell speak about her family, priorities and accomplishments. Event leadership included co-chairs Janet Beck, Dena Frankfurt, Roslyn Goldstein, Lisa Zale, and Ethel Zale. The first luncheon returned over $25,000 in net proceeds to support Jewish Family Service.

2006

Growing upon the strong foundation of the 2004 event, the second Woman-to-Woman Luncheon both doubled attendance and tripled proceeds. The sell-out crowd gathered at the Dallas Arboretum on a beautiful spring morning for mimosas and the exclusive opportunity to hear our featured speakers.

Guests learned about the influential women of Neiman Marcus, as told by Stanley Marcus’ daughter, Jerrie Smith. And keynote speaker Karen Katz, the first female CEO of Neimans, addressed the challenges and joys of her career and her connection to community.

Event leadership included co-chairs Linda Garner, Dana Feldman and Barbara Gutow, and honorary co-chairs Sally Genecov and Ethel Zale. The second luncheon returned over $80,000 in net proceeds to the organization.

2008
The third luncheon, featuring guest speaker Joy Behar, promises to be a record-breaking sell-out once again. Under the leadership of co-chairs Susan Bendalin, Linda Garner, and Cara Mendelsohn, projected attendance will reach 1,000 guests and anticipated net proceeds will exceed $150,000.
