Under the leadership of Bobbie Crowley, Shirley Davidoff, Carol Pinker and Karen Topletz, the Shalom Bayit committee was formed in 2005 at Congregation Shearith Israel as a response to the reality of domestic violence and abuse in our community.

Today, the Committee’s inter-congregational volunteer efforts focus on education and advocacy to spread awareness of this issue and ensure that services are available for those in need.
