Jewish Family Service and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas present the 16th annual Janis Ablon professional conference addressing family violence.  This year's conference -- “SOUL MURDER: Understanding the Devastating Effects of Abuse in Order to Enhance Treatment”  -- features Leonard Shengold, MD.  Dr. Shengold is a clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at New York University Langone Medical Center and training analyst emeritus at New York University Institute for Psychoanalytic Education.  He is well known for his original work child abuse entitled Soul Murder and the subsequent Soul Murder Revisited.  This year's conference will be held in two parts: Sunday evening February 26 and Monday February 27, 2012.  CEUs, CMEs, and Certificates of Attendance will be offered for both sessions.  Please note the new location of this year's conference: Congregation Shearith Israel, 9401 Douglas Avenue, Dallas 75225.  For more information, including cost and time, please contact Ruth Josenhans at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
