Emotional Abuse
Objectives

This conference is open to community professionals including physicians, nurses, mental-health professionals, attorneys, educators, and daycare providers.  It is designed to help these professionals better identify and treat victims of emotional abuse.

At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognize the signs of emotional abuse.
  2. Describe the dynamic nature of covert and overt emotional abuse.
  3. Examine Dr. Loring's successful clinical methods used in the treatment of the emotionally abused.
  4. Demonstrate the forensic skills needed for effective courtroom testimony in cases involving emotional abuse.
  5. Identify the ethical concerns related to providing services to the emotionally abused.
